Creative Crew Blog Hop

Time for some Blog Hop fun!

I have been nominated by my friend Jen, The Stamp Diva, over at The Stamp Diva by Jen Guarino, to participate in the Creative Crew Blog Hop! Jen and I have been friends for just over a year. We met through a mutual friend at church.  Then via Facebook I discovered that she was recruiting for Stampin' Up!   The free product got me interested, the excellence of product quality and color coordination got me hooked.  And here I am now running a business!

The rules of the blog hop are as follows:

1. Create a project exclusive to the Creative Crew Blog Hop

2. to answer a few questions
3. to nominate (2) stampers that inspire me!
Here is my project made special for this blog hop only!

Outside by my beautiful crocuses.  The lighting here shows the large dot embossing on the black card stock base.

Here is another outdoor lighting shot, look at those rhinestones sparkle!

Back inside is the final shot .

The sentiment is the soul of the creation.  This sentiment is from the Painted Petals stamp set in the Occasions catalog.  I stamped it on Whisper White and then used the Scallop Tag Topper punch to create the wonderful curvy edge.  And I sponged Coastal Cabana to add texture and color coordination to the designer series paper.

Rhinestones add "bling" to step up the wow-effect for some sparkle!

I love the whimsy and cheery colors in the "Best Year Ever" Designer Series Paper featured in the Sale-a-brations booklet.  It is free with a $50 product order!  The ribbon is also in the Sale-a-brations booklet and comes in the "Best Year Ever" Accessory Pack: 3 spools of colored ribbon and matching buttons!

The background layer is created with the Polka Dot Embossing Folder to echo the dots in the Designer Series Paper and tie it all together!

Now, for the questions:

1. What are you working on?
I am currently working on two raffles prizes that are fun boxes and beautiful fresh flowers.  I am very excited for these projects, come back for pictures in 2 weeks!  Soon I will be preparing for Mothers' Day classes.

2. How does your work differ from others in your genre?
I am fairly traditional and contemporary in crafting  But I am not trendy or very faddish - I work with things that I really love and steer clear of the rest.

3. Why do you create what you do?
I create for the stress relief, energy and joy that I find in my papercrafts.  I love to see my creations bless others and reflect my gratitude and joy in our relationship.

4. How does your creative process work?
I am not afraid to CASE (copy and share everything) other peoples' designs and then add my tweaks to personalize it with my style.  I often get ideas from other crafters and then my mind starts percolating with inspiration to make it mine.  Occasionally a stamp set will come along and I will know immediately what project it will be and it symbolizes a story in my life.

My nominations for next week are two talented crafters. The first is Stephanie Mips  at "Stephanie's Paper Palace."  She has beautiful ideas for her designs.  Her blog is newer and is already filled with fun creations.

The second nomination is Sharon Wren from "Rocky Mountain Hi Stamping!"  We met online via our Stampin' Up! team.  I love to see her designs on her blog or Pinterest, you will also think that her work is lovely.

Be sure to check their blogs NEXT Monday, March 2nd for amazing creations. Thanks for stopping by, I hope you feel inspired to create and share some stamping projects with your loved ones.  I would love to hear from you - please leave a comment here about my card and be sure to subscribe to the blog so that you never miss another post!

Have an inspired day!
