Color Combo Blog Hop Love What You Do

Hello friends - welcome to our April "Color Combo Blog Hop!"  Today we are sharing projects featuring: Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron, and Blushing Bride.  I was inspired to use the Love What You Do stamp set for this challenge.

I had fun with our new Stitched Rectangles framelits for my floral image and my sentiment.  I like staggering and slanting the rectangles in my design.

Here you can see the stitched effect on the edges of each rectangle.  My flowers are stamped with the smaller shape in Blushing Bride over the Pear Pizzazz floral outlines.

Cards from Friends

Hello stamping friends!  I hope you are enjoying beautiful fall weather wherever you are located.  Our local trees are rich with red and burgundy leaves - it's is so captivating.

Today I have a couple cards to share that were sent to me by other demonstrators.  It was a lovely surprise to receive these notes in my mailbox.

Deb made this fancy fold design in Pineapple Punch with Basic Grey accents.

I love the colors and textures.  The sentiment comes from the Love What You Do stamp set in our Share What you Love suite, you can see it here.

Next is a sweet Night of Navy and Whisper White card from Sharon.  I love her Tropical Chic stamps and die cuts from our Tropical Escape suite, see it here.

Lovely Floral Water Color

Hello stamping friends!  I am excited to share today's Lovely Floral card with you. I am smitten with this Lovely Floral embossing folder. I had an idea and had to try it out - can I emboss watercolor paper and then color it?

So I grabbed the Lovely Floral embossing folder and got to work embossing my watercolor paper.

Then I colored in the Lovely Floral image.  I used heavy strokes to get deep, vibrant colors.  The large flower is Melon Mambo with some Rich Razzleberry to deepen the color.   Aquapainters then blend the colors.  Wipe the aquapainter between each color so that you don't mix them.  The dragonfly is Bermuda Bay and then highlighted with touches of Rich Razzleberry.

Stamp the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I really like this font from the Love What You Do stamp set.

My class loved making this card - I hope that you will try it too!

Team Swap Monday - Share What You Love 2

Hello stampers and welcome back to our Team Swap Monday series!   My stamping teammates and I create designs from our new catalog, we swap our cards, and then I love to share the inspiring designs with you each Monday. 

Today's swaps are more designs from our Share What You Love suite, part 2.

Judy used the Share What You Love designer series paper.  She fussy cut the flowers and arranged them on the diagonal shaped layer.

This is the stamp set, Around the Corner, that she used in her design.

Mary Kate designed this card.  I love how she featured the Lovely Floral embossed image with the DSP.  The Layering Circles framelits are a nice fit for the sentiment from the Love What You Do stamp set.
