Perennial Essence Swap Design

Hello crafters!  One of my most favorite artists is Claude Monet.  The Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper is inspired by impressionism artists like Monet, so it was my pick for my first swap design.  I participated with a group of demonstrators that each make a unique design using products in our new Annual catalog, duplicate it 20 times, then we swap, and each have 20 unique designs with our new products to share!

I used our Nested Labels dies to make a stitched frame to feature the stunning Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper.   The first card is Blackberry Bliss card stock layered on the Petal Pink card base.

My second card was made at a class this summer and duplicates the design with new colors: it has Flirty Flamingo layered on a Soft Seafoam card base.   Each color combo compliments the florals in the DSP.

This is the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper.  You can buy packs of this paper to use in so many projects!

The Nested Labels dies are a must have tool in your craft room!  I love how easy it was to make a stitched frame for my Floral Essence DSP!

You can choose the10% off bundle of the Floral Essence stamp set and Perennial Flower Punch.

Stampin' Up! makes shopping super easy that you can purchase the entire Perennial Essence suite of products with the bundle discount with just one product number: 152166.

I hope you enjoyed my design and the ideas I shared for the Perennial Essence suite!

Metropolitan Museum of Art

Pardon this diversion.  Many of my friends, creative buddies, family and more have been following my adventures in New York City.  My husband and I are having a lovely time exploring around his work conference.

I was trying to determine how to share these images on Instagram and Facebook, like I have shared everything else.  But I was challenged of how to load the descriptions with the correct masterpiece, and load only 10 images at a time.  I decided that while changing different platforms isn't ideal, it would be easiest to use my blog to share these delightful delights.

Impressionists are my favorite and I was astounded at how many are owned and on display at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Panorama of the lobby.  Astounding detail and investment in craftsmanship.
Such a grand entryway with a huge fresh display of forsythia.
There are statues at either end of the lobby.

On either side of the entryway was matching columns.  There were huge vases filled with more fresh forsythia.

We also saw many statues, armor, and more paintings.  However our brief 2 hours left many, many exhibits unseen.  My favorites are Renoir and Monet.  What is your favorite?
