PPP Blog Hop Beary Comforting

Hello crafty friends and welcome to our Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop. My team and I are so excited to share our alternate designs for the adorable Beary Comforting December kit.  These are the three intended card designs from the kit:

I choose to make a tag for a "treat bag" filled with cough drops to encourage a friend under the weather.  I stamped the bear image with Soft Suede Stampin' Pad on Soft Suede card stock.

This cutie-patootie bear stamp is a breeze to cut out and and he will be a favorite in my stash of Paper Pumpkin stamps.  I stamped the bouquet in Just Jade Stampin' Pad on my Very Vanilla tag as a custom design background.

Our Printed Gusseted Bags are the perfect treat bag.  The tag has a layer of Just Jade card stock on the back layer and it is tied up with the Just Jade In Color Ribbon.

Rustic Retreat Watercolor Card

I spied the Rustic Retreat stamp set and could NOT believe I had missed it in a past catalog.  It is the prefect forest/cabin/hunting/mountain retreat themed stamp set and it is is so cute!  I added it to my next order and designed it for our July stamp club. 

We used the Watercolor Pencils to color the images (stamped with Memento Tuxedo ink pad).  This first card is just plain pencils.

Then we used Blender pens over the Watercolor pencil colors for the final step.  This softens and smooths the color blending.  The bear in this version did not have as much color depth as the sample above, I think I might add more color to him. 

Did you notice the A. A. Milne quote?  Ah, love it!!!!
