Island Vibes Sale-a-bration Spotlight #1

Hello friends and welcome to my Island Vibes product spotlight.  I have 3 cards to share this week and I am happy to start with my pineapple "Thinking of You" card today.

I loved using the fern leaves to stamp the background. The tag perfectly fits the pineapple image.

Island Vibes stamp set is free with a $50 product order during Sale-a-bration.  It is such a fun tropical stamp set.

I hope you will enjoy the tutorial for this card design.  The Spotlight Series will post on Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday each week.

COLORS

Pear Pizzazz

Bumblebee

Basic White

MEASUREMENTS

Full list of supplies needed, listed below.

Card Base: Pear Pizzazz card stock 5 ½” h  x  8 ½” w folded to 5 ½” h x 4 ½” w

Background: Basic White card stock  5 ¼” h x 4” w

Back Tag Layer: Bumblebee card stock 4” h x 2” w

Front Tag Layer: Basic White card stock scrap 4”h x 1 ¾” w

Sentiment layer: Basic White ½” h x 2 ½” w

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Stamp the palm leaves with Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Pad all around the perimeter of the  5 ¼” h x 4” w Basic White card stock layer.

  2. Adhere this stamped layer onto the card base.

  3. Punch the top edge of the Basic White tag 4”h x 1 ¾” w with the Fancy Tag Topper.

  4. Stamp the pineapple part of the stamp into the Bumblebee Stampin’ Pad and the leave into the Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Pad. Stamp this image onto the center of the Basic White tag 4”h x 1 ¾” w.

  5. Punch the top edge of the Bumblebee tag 4” h x 2” w with the Fancy Tag Topper.

  6. Flag the bottom edge of each of the tags. Cut a small slice into the center of the tag lower edge. Then cut from each corner into the end of the slice cut. See diagram to the right.

  7. Cut a 15” length of the Bumblebee Gingham Trim. Fold it in half and push the fold from the front to the back of the tags ribbon holes to connect the tags.

  8. Thread the ends through the loop and pull it snug.  Tie the ends into a knot and trim the ends.

  9. Use Dimensionals to adhere the tag onto the card front.

  10. Stamp the sentiment with Pear Pizzazz onto the Basic White ½” h x 2 ½” w piece.  Trim each end with a slant cut.

  11. Adhere this sentiment with Dimensionals over the pineapple image.

  12. Embellish with the Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels.

Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Batter Up

Hello friends and welcome to our Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop where each month we share alternate designs.  The May kit "Batter Up" is our feature for tonight's blog hop.  You can click on the video below to see the kit tutorial in action. So let's get playing with this all star themed card kit!

This kit is a home-run for amazing designs to celebrate the ALL-STARS in our lives.   So I took the exclusive Batter Up stamp set and created cards with a different theme.  My first card uses the Night of Navy ink spot from the kit with Night of Navy and Basic White card stock.  I used the Brick Embossing folder for both of my cards.

Here is a little tutorial for one way to use your Stamparatus!

I added some Pattern Party host designer series paper, Granny Apple Green card stock and Stampin' Pad for the Stamparatus.  The "friend" is stamped in Pumpkin Pie and has a nice pop of contrasting color.

I hope you enjoyed my alternate use for the Batter Up stamp set - it has so much versatility. I know you will use it a lot!

Now join me to see my dear friend Deb's creation, just click on the arrow below and you will hop to her blog.
