ICS Blog Hop Power of Hope

Hello friends!  Welcome to our Inspire, Create, & Share Blog Hop.  One Stamp Set So Many Uses is our theme this month.  I am using the Power of Hope stamps. Each team member is going to create 3 cards, they will all be the same basic card design. You’ll see increased complexity for all three types of crafter: the Beginner Stamper, Casual Stamper, and the Avid Stamper.

This is my design trio using the Power of Hope stamps and Stone 3D embossing folder.  This is a level 2 Sale-a-bration gift, you receive it free with a qualifying $100 product order.

The "Beginner Stamper" design is card stock and ink.

The "Casual Stamper" design includes a stamped card stock layer and two punches layered for the sentiment.

The "Avid Stamper" is the most complex design.  It includes a Grey Granite layer and Stone 3D embossed vellum layer.  The stamped card stock layer has sponging around the edges.  Stampin' Blends were used to color the stamped images.  Rose Metallic Thread adds shine, and more pink color coordination to the design.

Here you can see the details of the Stone 3D embossing on the vellum and sponged Blushing Bride ink on the Whisper White layer.

The products for my designs are listed at the end of my post and will qualify you to earn the the free Power of Hope bundle.  I hope you will add the Power of Hope to your order and enjoy creating with it!

Now join me to hop over and see Tricia's marvelous SAB design!

OnStage Valentine Swap - Accented Blooms

Valentine Team Swap - Accented Blooms

Back in November at Onstage, my team had a group swap of Valentine designs with Annual catalog products.  I enjoyed this challenge and creating my design.  I used Powder Pink card stock with the "Accented Blooms," and "P.S. You’re the Best" stamp sets.

Crumb Cake Stampin’ Pad was used to stamp the sentiment and floral image. And Versamark was used for the heart from "P.S. You're the Best" that I stamped all over the background.

I punched out the sentiment with the Tailored Tag punch.  The Pretty label punch was used to punch the vellum label layer. These are adhered together, and the Rose thread was looped and attached to the vellum.

Adhere a piece of vellum to the top of the Powder Pink card stock layer.  Then I adhered one end of the ribbon to the back of that layer. There are two hearts die cut from our "Sunshine Wishes" thinlits, one is vellum and one is Powder Pink.  The ribbon is strung through the hearts so that they hang from the ribbon. The loose ribbon end is adhered on the back side of the Powder Pink card stock.

Wink of Stella is painted onto all of the flowers.  Then I assembled my card: Powder Pink layer is adhered to the Crumb Cake card base, the sentiment tags are then attached onto the card front with dimensionals.

I hope you have enjoyed learning about this alternative idea for a Valentine card design.  We have lots of beautiful stamps, embellishments, and designer series paper to help you with your Valentine projects.  I would love to help you!

Team Swap Monday - Peaceful Reflection

Hello stampers and welcome back to our Team Swap Monday series!   My stamping teammates and I create designs from our new catalog, we swap our cards, and then I love to share the designs with you each Monday.

Today's card is designed by Gayle.  She used the Peaceful Reflection stamp set.  The white embossing on black is stunning, and the vellum adds more texture and softness.  It is a truly peaceful stamping layout.

The Peaceful Reflection stamp set has several images for creative layers and reflections.  Surprise - I have two designs to share today!

Jeannette made this design.  I like how her dragonflies are skimming along the flower tops.  She chose a sentiment from the Petal Palette stamp set (Gayle did too).  The font coordinates strikingly with the Peaceful Reflection flower style.

You can shop for the Peaceful Reflection stamps here.

You can see another design, made by me, using this Peaceful Reflection stamp set here.  I hope you are inspired to try this reflection technique with this new stamp set.

Carols of Christmas Early Release

Hello stamping friends!

I am excited to share our exclusive early release from our Holiday catalog, Carols of Christmas.

I decided to use classic winter colors, and use a simple, clean design with my first project.  This is my first draft.  I stamped on vellum and layered it over our new snowflake embossing folder.  Isn't this large font stunning and powerful with presence?  The Carols of Christmas stamps are so simple for elegant card designs!

The embossing is rather indistinct in the first photo as the vellum flips up a bit.  So I went back and added pearls at the bottom to create weight.  And it allowed me to hide glue dots behind the pearls to adhere it tightly so the embossed image is more visible.

The Winter Wonder Textured Impressions Embossing Folders makes a beautiful snowflake.  I realized that this embossing is best to spritz with water to soften the card stock fibers.  The dry card stock will crack so be sure you have spritzers on hand!  Spritz front and back and then place in the embossing folder and roll through your Big Shot!

What do you think?  Do the pearls make a better effect?  Please see the product list for my card at the end of this post.
