Welcome to our Paper Pumpkin Possibilities blog hop and our exploration of the August kit: Meaningful Flowers. Each designer will have a clever and creative idea for alternative designs.
The kit includes these elements.
This kit has 2 card designs and 4 cards per design.
I love to cut up pretty envelopes and use them as card layers. So I cut the edges off either side of the envelope. Cut off the adhesive on the envelope flap, open the bottom fold and cut at the fold line.
My first altnerative design shows stamping a background layer and the printed layer from the envelope onto the center of the card front.
My second alternative design is the same printed envelope layer on top of an embossed background layer. I stamped off the floral image once on my grid paper and then applied the image over the stamped sentiment. The edges of the sentiment square are smudged with Garden Green ink so it stands out against the Basic White layer.
This printed paper is stunning and really stands out on the Basic White layer and Garden Green card base. Which do you like best: the embossed or stamped layer idea?

Welcome to our Inspire, Create, Share blog hop! Tonight we are sharing techniques with you to inspire your crafting options.
I am sharing how to use a portion of an embossing folder to create a different use for embossed layers.
I liked how the diagonal lines look like a snowfall effect.
See how it is only on a portion of the interior layer that peeks out to the front of the z-fold?
I embossed just the right-side edge with the diagonal stripes texture.
Tip: use washi tape to place the layer into place in the embossing folder. This layer and folder will be the full width of the opening of the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine. Beware to place them into the machine with straight alignment so that the side of the machine doesn’t push the cardstock out of placement in the embossing folder.
My supply list is at the end of my post. I hope you will leave me a comment about this technique!

I cannot believe that it as only been 4 weeks since the Autumn 2022 Creative Escape closed. I wanted to share some of the cards we made at the various classes offered during the weekend. There are 2 Make & Take sessions and an additional optional 4 add-on classes/events offered. I hope you enjoy a peek at the massive creativity that happened at our Creative Escape!
The Saturday add-on class was Christmas cards featuring the Brightest Glow bundle. This was such fun and after they completed their 8 card kits they had enough product to design an additional 12+ cards plus.
Saturdays' Make and Takes were all about the popular 2022-2024 In Colors. This card featured our Sweet Sorbet color.
Parakeet Party is this matchbook fun fold card.
The Friday add-on class featured the Biggest Wish stamp set and these beautiful cards.
I love our Kraft note cards and envelopes with the Design a Daydream designer series paper.
They are fun and happy cards!
Here are some of the cards from the optional Stamping Bingo event on Friday evening.
Stamping Bingo featured the Celebrate Everything designer series paper.
So many fun, festive prints, and this is only half of the 6 cards we made during Stamping Bingo! I used the Good Feeling stamp set for the card below.
The Hope & Peace stamp set was featured at the optional class Sunday afternoon. Participants had card kits to make 2 each of 5 designs plus lots of extra products to use at home.
