ICS Blog Hop - Star of Light

Hello friends!  I am so excited for the Inspire, Create, & Share Blog Hop tonight.  We have all sorts of wonderful Christmas card designs to share with you.  I hope you enjoy every blog creation!

My card features the Star of Light stamp set and Starlight framelits on our Gold Foil-Edged card and envelopes.  All of the stars on the card front are die cut from the green Joyous Noel Glimmer paper.  This card is elegant with sparkly elements!

I used the Mulitpurpose Adhesive Sheets on the back of the glimmer paper, card stock, and gold foil paper.

Then I die cut the stars from the green Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper.

The foil edged envelopes are so glamorous, stamping the back gives it perfect coordination!  Isn't this elegant?

I layered a Shaded Spruce card stock die cut star onto a Gold Foil paper die cut star and placed it on the interior of the card. 

 I love how the gold shines around all of the intricate shapes on the Shaded Spruce star.

The interior sentiment was stamped in Shaded Spruce and then punched out with the Tailored Tag punch.  I colored the edges with a Sponge Dauber tapped into my Shaded Spruce Stampin' Pad.  All of the products for my project are listed at the end of this post.

Blogging Friends Blog Hop - Dashing Deer

Who are the "Blogging Friends?"

We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators located all across the U.S. and Canada who have never met.  But, through our common bond of Stampin’ Up! and a shared love of paper-crafting we have created a fun blog hop. Please join us every month to see the wonderful projects we have created for you!  Today we are sharing Christmas or Hanukkah themed projects.

I had fun using the Joyful Noel glimmer paper to create a mountain winter scene. I used all three colors of glimmer paper in my design.  The tree die cuts are from the Nature's Roots framelits.

I swapped the glimmer paper colors on this card to a red deer and copper flowers.  Which color choice do you prefer?

One of my favorite tricks with the Everyday Label Punch is to use it for a long, narrow sentiment.  I stamp on a 3/4 inch by 4 inch piece of card stock.  The extra length helps to center it within the punch.

My next trick to share with you is how I created the hills on my cards.  I used this Nature's Roots tree thinlit laid along the edge of the Sahara Sand card stock to create hills.  Then I used the Subtle embossing folder to add texture on the cut out hills. I overlapped these pieces to create layers of hills. 

The glimmer paper is a significant showstopper on any project.  Our dies cut smooth and sharp images from this glimmer paper.  As you can see from this angle, there is so much enchanting texture from embossing, glimmer, and shapes.

Stamp Club October Projects

Hello stampers!  It has been a fabulous week of stamping.  I have an exclusive class each month for my Stamp Club members.  It is so fun to connect, catch up, and stamp together each month.  I featured autumn designs in our October class, products for these projects are detailed at the end of this post.

Each month I teach one technique.  The Embossing Mats and leaf thinlets were used in the Big Shot as the technique lesson.  I used the leaf thinlets from the Rooted in Nature bundle to coordinate with the Natures Poem designer series paper.

The embossed leaf designs look stunning on the Blackberry Bliss card stock.

The second design featured our Country Lane designer series paper and the Galvanized Metallic paper.  The Tin Tile embossing folder on the Galvanized paper brought many oooohs and aaaahs.  The Country Lane suite of products has been a top pick from our Holiday catalog.

October had to have a Halloween card.  The Toil and Trouble suite has the cutest coordinating products.  The Black foil paper, Copper glimmer paper (from Joyous Noel glimmer paper pack), and Toil and Trouble designer series paper combined into a really cute card.

What do you think of the Tailored Tag punch for the Black foil paper, does it remind you of a casket for Dracula?  The Black glittered organdy ribbon is attached to the circle sentiment with SNAIL tape runner, then dimensionals were applied.  This gave the ribbon lift off of the paper so the glitter caught more light.
