ICS Blog Hop - Magical Day

Welcome to our Inspire, Create, & Share Blog Hop.  The first Wednesday of each month we share our creativity to inspire your stamping imagination.  Our theme this month is "It's a Guy Thing" for Father's Day and birthday cards.  I choose the Myths and Magic suite to feature the wizard for my guy card.

 At first the wizard made me think of my husband.  Most grown-up guys appreciate the wise Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings triology - so this is suitable as a grown-up card. This Magical Day card could work great for a Father's Day card.  But it would also be great as a birthday card.

Here is a close up to see the glimmer paper, glimmer washi tape, and the shiny sparkle on the wizard's robe.

 I decided to make this birthday card, but is definitely could say "Happy Father's Day!"  I don't usually make the interior so spectacular but a magical wizard needs sparkle and shine!

 The Myths and Magic suite is charming for many people in your life.  Sadly, the designer series paper has sold out with retirement.  However the other products are still available while supplies last, so don't miss out!  The glimmer paper and glimmer washi tape is so pretty for layering.

Here is a trick for layering the banner.  I traced around the exterior shape of the banner so that I could cut along the pencil lines.  This made the perfect size for layering behind the white banner.

Sketch Challenge Tutti Frutti

Hello stampers!  We had a sketch challenge with our team and the entries were amazing.  I had to share with you all the amazing creativity that this design inspired.

I used the Tutti Frutti designer series paper black on white print.  I added Lemon Lime Twist to punctuate the color combination.  Isn't the glimmer paper a stunning focal point?  My supplies are detailed at the end of this post.

Our design came from Mojo Monday sketch 485.

Ann-Marie chose the Eastern Palace suite for her card.

Tamara went with black, white and pink for her entry.

The True Gentleman suite is featured in this sharp card by April.

Dani has glamorous paper roses on her card with the dazzling lemon lime twist glimmer paper.

The Petal Passion suite was Cathy's inspiration for her card entry.

Here's a great Father's Day card by Wendee, featuring the True Gentleman suite.

I love the variety of creative ideas that shine from this sketch!  This challenge really inspired our team.  Do you plan to copy any of these combos?

2018 Occasions and Sale-a-bration Sampler Class

I have enjoyed our Christmas break with the kids and hubby home.  We enjoyed some down time and tackled a bathroom project.  I also have had fun playing with my new products in preparation for my Sampler Class. This free class was offered on Saturday and will be again on Wednesday.

The table was set up with 2 make and take projects.  This is the Heartfelt Wishes stamp set project supplies.

 The ladies really loved the new collections of Designer Series Paper.

 This side of the table is the Party Pandas stamp set and Bubbles and Fizz designer series paper project.

 I had one table to showcase our Sale-a-bration products.

 Here is the other half of the table.

 Then I featured our new product suites, this is Petal Passion.

 Here is the Sweet Soiree suite, everyone fell in love with this silver foil designer series paper.

 Of course there are stamp sets and bundles to examine more closely.

 I am offering 1 public class each month so sign ups were available on the spot.

 Our Picture Perfect Party suite was a big hit as was the Myths and Magic glimmer paper!

 My antique window frame is ideal for showcasing the various card samples I have from swaps and my own designing.

 I made a display of samples from each new Designer Series Paper collection.

 Of course snacks and bottles of water keep everyone ready for fun.
