IDEAS March 2025 Stunning Scraps

 

Hello friends and welcome to our March IDEAS blog hop for the "Stunning Scraps" Tutorial Bundle.  Our global team is from Australia, Europe, New Zealand, Canada, and United States.  We love sharing our designs each month and our March theme features clever ideas for the multitude of scraps and smaller pieces of paper we accumulate.

Here is my alternative card project, with the same products.  I saw this idea from another demonstrator and can't find the sample that I saved, it is not my concept.  I love how scraps can be used for these labels!

Recap for the August Demo Connect Event

 

Hello friends! I am excited to share my recent Demo Connect Event.  Each year I hold 3-4 of these events to help my team and other local demonstrators connect, share creativity, and enjoy an afternoon of fun!

Each demonstrator made 2 different pinwheel cards with different designer series paper.

It was fun to share new designs with the group.

We made this card with the Peaceful Deer Bundle,  Wonderful Snowflakes, and White Glittered Organdy Ribbon.  The Be Dazzling Paper, and Peaceful Prints designer series paper came from our Sale-a-bration promotion. 

At intermission time each person got a bag of homemade caramel corn - it was a popular treat!  The Bumblebee gingham ribbon looked perfect with the caramel color.

Then we worked on making Designer Series Paper samplers for the new Mini Catalog paper products.

We also made this fancy fold card, the video below is my tutorial for the fancy fold card.

It was a really fun gathering and I am so glad that I get to serve my team and other demonstrators with tools and projects to spread joy!

Upcoming Classes and Schedule

 Hello friends!  I'm in the midst of making 100+ swap cards to share with my demonstrator friends across the country.  I need to be indoors to avoid the forest fire smoke so card making is my focus as deadlines are approaching.  How are you coping with the high temperatures this summer? Are you crafting to stay near the air conditioning?

Friends have asked for years about a crafting retreat.  I took it to heart and started researching locations, formats, participated in trainings, and then the pandemic closed down events.  This year it came together to finalize a venue in the mountains, reserved a weekend, and I am pleased to invite you to the Creative Escape!

Kre8tors Blog Hop Magnolia Lana

Hello friends - I am so excited for our Kre8tors July Blog Hop! Our theme is floral so our project designs are going to be amazing floral ideas.  It is especially hot in Idaho right now, it's our typical roasting summer weather.  I am happy to be inside cool and crafty!

I made a wreath to highlight the beautiful Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper.  It is a 12" wire wreath frame, but it is much larger than I had expected.  It just barely fit into my photo backdrop set-up!

Here it is hanging on my front door to give you perspective on how large and beautiful it is as a focal home decor piece.  The project was shared with me by Greta Leonard, from my team.  I was excited to try it with our Magnolia Lane DSP.  The paper is cut into 2x4 strips and then scored 1/2" from one end.  The opposite end is punched with our Banner Triple Punch. 

I folded each paper strip end over the wire frame.  I used a cool temp glue gun to adhere each paper strip in place.  This is a close-up to show the layers of colors and textures.  Magnolias are on-trend and are blooming right now in our area.  And I think many people now associate the name "Magnolia" with the famous designer Joanna Gaines and her store Magnolia Market in Waco, Texas.

I am really happy with how it turned out and am excited to feature these next week at a local artisan boutique "Fun in the Sun" by The Holiday House Boutique.  I hope you will come out and enjoy shopping among many local artisans in one location!

Butterflies in Highland Heather

Hello friends!  Today feels like spring have bloomed in Boise and I love it!  The sky is bright blue and the sun is brilliantly bright, I really want to be outside!

I have three cheery and bright cards to share with you.  All feature the Butterfly Gala bundle and the Bontanical Buterfly designer series paper.   I am LOVING the new Story Label Punch, see it here.

The color pallet for my designs is the same with small embellishment changes.  The large butterfly is punched out from a sheet of black and white butterflies in the Botanical Butterfly DSP.

Each card features a different sentiment.  I used the Light Highland Heather Stampin' Blends and Light Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends to color the butterflies.
