PPP Blog Hop Summer Nights

Hello friends and welcome to our Paper Pumpkin Possibilities blog hop! We are sharing alternate projects for the July Paper Pumpkin kit:  Summer Nights.

The kit includes 9 postcards with envelopes and 9 tealight bags. The Add-on kit is 24 card bases and envelopes, it is still available and so are re-fills of consumables for the Summer Nights kit.

These are the elements in the kit and the exclusive kit stamp set. I used the stamps for my alternate projects.  I thought this stamp looked like a dandelion ready to spread it's seeds.  So I pulled out my Craft White Stampin' Pad to stamp my fluffy dandelions on Granny Apple Green card stock.

Pool Party was used for my second card.  The sentiment comes from an older Paper Pumpkin stamp set.

So then I created a fireworks card!

To create this ink effect, I used Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, and Gorgeous Grape ink refills on my clear block.  Then I dribbled some water onto the ink so that they ran together.

Then I pressed my stamp into the ink puddle and stamped onto my card layer.  This created a fun blended spread of color.

My next alternate project is based on cutting apart a tea light bag and using one of the post cards.  I stamped fireworks on the tea light bag in colors that coordinated with the postcard layer: Calypso Coral, Misty Moonlight, and Blackberry Bliss.

There are unlimited ideas for alternate projects with the Summer Nights kit. Now join me to find more inspiration from the rest of our team. Let's hop over to see Elizabeth's project, click on the next button below:

Great idea. The ink puddle is something different... reminds me of the baby wipe technique without the baby wipe. :-)
