Paper Pumpkin Pop Up Blog Hop - Grown with Kindness

Hello friends!  I have exciting news for you - our Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop is transitioning to a consistent, monthly blog hop!  Every 4th Tuesday will be an exciting reveal of alternative designs for the monthly stamping kit.

Our February kit is Grown with Kindness, featuring succulents:

Here is a blog post from the Paper Pumpkin team sharing ideas.

Now let's look at my ideas for alternate designs!  I love this kit and really am super happy with it just as it is.  But our group is committed to help with alternates.  And I do love to make more from the kit and get 2 cards from one card design.

This is my first card.  I stamped onto vellum and dried it with my heat tool.  Then I used the 2" circle punch on the vellum and the 2 1/4" circle punch on Lemon-Lime Twist card stock.  The circles are held together with twine woven into hole punches on each side.  The succulents paper is from the kit - I cut it in half to get two cards from the one card front piece.

This is the second part of the succulents piece that I cut in half.  I layered this onto Lemon-Lime Twist cut out with the Rectangles Stitched framelits (same layers are above too).  I really like the Grown with Kindness stamp set and the options for a variety of combinations.

On this design I cut this card front into many pieces.  I trimmed the 1/2" top and bottom strips to be my top and bottom border layers.  Then I cut the "YOU" word into separate letters and trimmed them to be more compact.  The twine is squiggled around across the top layer and tucked behind each side. Then each letter is attached with dimensionals.   I stamped the sentiment directly onto the lower layer and added an enamel dot.

Here is the Grown with Kindness tutorial on YouTube:

Bingo Fun and Winners!

It was a busy weekend as Bingo...Stamping Style preparation culminated in a fun event that was full of winners!

My car was stuffed full of prizes, projects, displays and more!  Yes, even a karaoke machine went along as my portable PA system.

This is our check-in table.  We used the facilities at Curves Boise and felt so welcomed and comfortable.

My display board and class sign-ups.

The gorgeous Craft and Carry Tote bag and Starter Kit were shared.  Bingo prizes and Sale-a-bration display on the shelves.  A lovely Let it Ride display by Wendee Jones.

Display board of many team swaps and our refreshments.

This display features designs by Greta Leonard.

This table features designs by Vicki Eisenbeisz.

Our Raffle table was popular and filled with exciting prizes.

Raffled items went home with 10 different people!

Stamping stations were set up for each project.

The Stamparatus made for quick and easy stamping on this project.

Everything had a place and was ready to be used.

Busy crafters working on their projects.

Here they are listening intently for the Bingo caller, as they marked off each square.

Marianne and Greta were super at keeping the Bingo game moving along!

Another group works on their Bingo cards.  Each person had one card provided and an option to purchase more cards.

This was our Blackout Bingo round - so many spaces covered but not quite all of them!

It was fun to see sisters come together, mothers and daughters, and many friends!

These sisters were such a sweet duo!

This table was a whole group that came together and they had a ball laughing and enjoying each other.

I'm checking on the progress, passing out more Bingo markers as needed.

This group was serious about their prospects for winning!

Getting ready to stamp and make their projects!

Greta is a dear friend and helped make the event so much fun!  I never knew she had such talent for calling Bingo numbers.  She helped teach all about the Stamparatus at this station.  I was thrilled to have Amy join us for the first time!

Bingo is a quiet game of concentration!  Greta called the Binog numbers, while Marianne pulled the Bingo numbers, and I took pictures (and a selfie)!

She is so pleased, her card is full = Blackout Winner!

No one is touching her cards - back off ladies that prize will be hers!

Lots of happy winners, I was so excited for them all:
Kathy won Birthday Statements stamp set
Tammie won the Happy Tails bundle
Dianna won the Birthday Cheer bundle
Dawn won the Well Said bundle grand prize
Judy won the Vibrant Vases stamp set

And here is a bit of silly video fun to see the day in action!

Every guest went home with a thank you gift pillow box filled with chocolate, a goodie bag with $25 in product to make their projects plus much (MUCH) more,  5 tutorials to make 4 card designs and 1 card case, coupons, catalogs and many acquired a prize or two or three!  This event took about 30+ hours of preparation and I heard from many that they had a super, fun time.  We are looking forward to Bingo again on May 18th and a special event to make projects for Mothers or Girlfriends on April 27th.  Be sure to register and join us!

Ink.Stamp.Share Blog Hop - Part of My Story

Hello crafty friends!  I am hopping today with the Ink.Stamp.Share. Blog Hop team.  We share our designs on the 4th Saturday of each month.  Our theme this months is Sale-a-bration so we are sharing projects featuring our favorite Sale-a-bration products.  Sale-a-bration happens once a year and offers exclusive products that you you can earn: a Level 1 gift is earned with a $50 order and a Level 2 gift is earned with a $100 order.

My card is full of great Sale-a-bration products!  I love the new Painted Seasons Designer Series Paper which is bundled with the Painted Seasons stamps as a Level 2 gift.  The print I used has succulents - are they pretty?

The sentiment comes from the Party of My Story stamp set, a Level 1 gift.  Sale-a-bration products are extremely popular every year; sadly the foil paper and organza ribbon inventory have been depleted as gift options in the US.   The Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is a regular product offered in our Occasions catalog.  You will notice an unusual shape - in March you may order this new Story Label Punch!  I layered it on top of the Everyday Label Punch and that color contrast really pops as a design effect.

Please join me to hop on over and see the lovely design by Laura, just click on the Next button below.  Or you can use the Roll Call List below the button to visit any of our team.

Valentines Volunteering

I was delighted to help the residents at Chrysalis make Valentine's Day cards for their children.  We attended during their weekly fellowship for dinner and crafting.

I set up supplies for our project in a side room so we could spread out.

Here is one of the card options.  This one has a Laffy Taffy tucked inside for a sweet treat surprise!

I used the Hey Love stamp set for the designs.  They could choose any of the 6 animals for their cards.  The bag of candy was full of Airheads and Laffy Taffy for them to enclose in the Valentine.  Isn't the Gorilla adorable?

Our team brought in a tasty dinner of soups, salads, and desserts.

Dinner was a lovely and delicious time together.

Then we sang a few worship songs.

This box was full of surprise gifts for each lady.

The gift bags contained a charm bracelet.

It was fun to volunteer together and coach the ladies on their first stamping experience.  They loved stamping!

A table full of happy crafters.

When it was all done, around 50 Valentine cards had been completed.

The Birdie

The Crocodile

The Otter

The Skunk

The Hedgehog

I hope the children enjoyed their Valentine cards!  It was a delightful evening to volunteer and teach stamping.
