Team Swap Monday - All is Bright

Hello stampers and welcome back to our Team Swap Monday series!   My stamping teammates and I create designs from our new catalog, we swap our cards, and then I love to share the inspiring designs with you each Monday.  I'm featuring designs using products from our 2018 Holiday Catalog.

Today's card was designed by my friend and teammate, MaryKate Scott.  I love her card and how she preserved showing so much of this beautiful All is Bright Designer Series Paper!  The sentiment is from the Making Christmas Bright bundle and was designed to coordinate with the All Is Bright DSP.

The front circle has gold embossing, gold foil paper sprigs, and stamping in Real Red and Garden Green.

She has a "fancy fold" design, the DSP attached on the interior layer but looks even with the card front.  Isn't the gold embossed interior sentiment eye catching?  The light bulb is so cute stamped or stamped and punched out.

You can see the All Is Bright DSP here.

The Making Christmas Bright bundle can be purchased here.

Snowflake Showcase Blog Hop

Hello stampers!  Welcome to our Snowflake Showcase Blog Hop.  You are going to see many fabulous designs as we introduce our exclusive new November products, Snowflake Showcase.

These products are so inspiring to create with, I really enjoyed making this design.  The Velvet paper is so soft and rich with texture.

I used the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets to attach to the back of the Velvet paper.  The Snowflake flourish and snowflake die cuts cut out beautifully in the Big Shot.  Using a small paint brush, I lightly painted Champagne Mist Shimmer paint on each snowflake point.

I attached the flourish to the card front, the adhesive sheets keep the die cut perfectly attached without any extra sticky mess.

The Paper Trimmer makes straight, easy cuts around the tree.

I used our sharp and trusty paper snips to cut out the tree trunk.  I placed SNAIL onto the back of the tree.  The Silver Thread is swirled into circles and pressed into the SNAIL. Then I used Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the tree and trunk to the card front.

The 3 Velvet Snowflakes are placed onto the tree and the Silver Pearls were placed onto the centers of the Snowflakes.  The Snowflake trinket was anchored with a glue dot while a spot of liquid glue set-up to permanently hold the trinket weight in place.

There is still space in my exclusive Snowflake Showcase class on November 19th, you can see the details and sign up here.  There is an afternoon and evening class option.  We will make this card design as one of our projects.

Here is the entire product line - isn't is wonderful to see TWO stamp sets that coordinate with the thinlits?  You will want all five products and enjoy creating with them all!

ISS Blog Hop - Beautiful Baubles

Hello stampers - I am delighted to share that I have joined the
"Ink. Stamp. Share" Blog Hop and will share with them each month on the 4th Saturday.

Our design theme is a based on Tic Tac Toe: you complete a line in one direction be it across, down, or diagonally. For example you could choose Christmas - Ribbon - Banner which runs diagonally from top left to bottom right and your project must include all those items in it.

I choose to design with the top row:  Christmas Embossing Circle.

The Beautiful Baubles bundle meets all those criteria, it is Christmas, the thinlit also embosses the delicate cut out, the thinlit is a circle and the baubles have many circles.

This close up shows the sparkly Wink of Stella I added to the ornaments.  It also shows a tiny peek at the embossing.

Please subscribe to my blog with the Feedblitz button on the top right of this page.  Leave me a comment that you subscribed and I will send you my free tutorial for this project.

Another Wonderful Year - Christmas

Hello stamping friends!  I am excite to share this quick and easy card design with you today.

I love the vivid Real Red and Shaded Spruce colors in the All is Bright designer series paper.  It was the foundation that I planned around for this design.   I had fun combining "light" themes in this card that tie into the light bulbs on the All is Bright DSP.

First is the sentiment from Another Wonderful Year: bright is a word for light.
Second: is the "Oh My Stars" embossing folder, stars = light.
Here is a quick and easy tip for ribbon.  Add a stripe of SNAIL on the back on each side of your card stock.  Then you cut your ribbon to be 1 inch longer than the card stock.   Wrap each ribbon end around the card stock to press into the SNAIL adhesive.  Now you have a ribbon stripe on the front that is attached and secure on the back.
Tie a little bow and then use a glue dot to attach it to the ribbon stripe. It makes a quick, tight fit around your card stock, a tidy bow, and you didn't tie up your fingers or squish your card stock.
Product details for this card design are included at the end of this post.  This card is vibrant and cheery to  look at and fun to make.  I hope you have enjoyed my tips on ribbon and developing a theme in your design!
