BFBH - Well Said

Hello friends! Thank you for joining me on this Friday morning.  I cannot believe that we are greeting March 1st today!  "April Showers" is our theme for our March Blogging Friends Blog Hop.

I had fun sharing this design at my recent Sale-a-bration card class.  The tag features a sweet sentiment from the Well Said stamp set.  Have you seen the Well Said bundle???  It is such an amazing collection of stamps and thinlets!

The butterfly can be fussy cut from the Botanical Butterfly designer series paper which is a Level 1 gift during our Sale-a-bration promotion.  The Gingham Gala sequins are so sparkly and I love that they come with adhesive already attached!  The Pool Party card layer is embossed with our new Dot to Dot TIEF in our Occasions catalog.

I love how easy it is to combine and coordinate these products into such beautiful projects!  Be sure to scoop up your favorite Sale-a-bration gifts right away, since they are all while supplies last.

BFBH - Hey Love

Hello friends!  Today is the Blogging Friends Blog Hop, we share with you on the first Friday of each month.  Our theme this month is LOVE: wedding, anniversary, Valentines, etc.  I chose to design a Valentine's card.

One of my recent, favorite stamp sets is the whimsical "Hey, Love" in our 2019 Occasions catalog.  There are so many fun animals in this stamp collection.  My design features Petal Pink and Call Me Clover inks and card stock. Of course, there is also Whisper White card stock and I used Shimmery White card stock to stamp and color my crocodile friend with our Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.

Our Handwritten background stamp was a perfect choice for a love-them, since it includes the words "love" and "amour."  I discovered that the small sentiment fits perfectly in the Classic Label punch.  I tried both ink colors and then decided to make a fun "waterfall" effect to stagger them on the card front.

I also love this new variegated ribbon and that it makes such a stunning bow.  First I layered the ribbon over the front 2 layers and adhered it behind the Call Me Clover layer.  Then I attached the card front onto the card base.

I wanted my bow to lay sideways so then I tied my loose ribbon onto the attached ribbon.  Then the bow is tied and it lays sideways on the card, which will frame the stamped images as the focal points.

The other nice aspect is that you can slide this bow along the attached ribbon to just where you like.  I then used Dimensionals to adhere my punched sentiments and crocodile onto the card front.  I hope you like my bow tip and trick and would love to know if you use this on your cards?  All of my supplies are detailed at the end of my post.

Please follow along to each of the blog participants.  I hope you discover all sorts of inspiring ideas for your love - theme projects!

Blogging Friends Blog Hop - Dashing Deer

Who are the "Blogging Friends?"

We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators located all across the U.S. and Canada who have never met.  But, through our common bond of Stampin’ Up! and a shared love of paper-crafting we have created a fun blog hop. Please join us every month to see the wonderful projects we have created for you!  Today we are sharing Christmas or Hanukkah themed projects.

I had fun using the Joyful Noel glimmer paper to create a mountain winter scene. I used all three colors of glimmer paper in my design.  The tree die cuts are from the Nature's Roots framelits.

I swapped the glimmer paper colors on this card to a red deer and copper flowers.  Which color choice do you prefer?

One of my favorite tricks with the Everyday Label Punch is to use it for a long, narrow sentiment.  I stamp on a 3/4 inch by 4 inch piece of card stock.  The extra length helps to center it within the punch.

My next trick to share with you is how I created the hills on my cards.  I used this Nature's Roots tree thinlit laid along the edge of the Sahara Sand card stock to create hills.  Then I used the Subtle embossing folder to add texture on the cut out hills. I overlapped these pieces to create layers of hills.

The glimmer paper is a significant showstopper on any project.  Our dies cut smooth and sharp images from this glimmer paper.  As you can see from this angle, there is so much enchanting texture from embossing, glimmer, and shapes.

I hope you have enjoyed my fun with glimmer paper.  My project supplies are detailed at the end of the post.  Use the Next button to see what Mary Ann has to share with us.  The list below is links to all of the blog hop sites.
