Kre8tors Blog Hop Magnolia Lana

Hello friends - I am so excited for our Kre8tors July Blog Hop! Our theme is floral so our project designs are going to be amazing floral ideas.  It is especially hot in Idaho right now, it's our typical roasting summer weather.  I am happy to be inside cool and crafty!

I made a wreath to highlight the beautiful Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper.  It is a 12" wire wreath frame, but it is much larger than I had expected.  It just barely fit into my photo backdrop set-up!

Here it is hanging on my front door to give you perspective on how large and beautiful it is as a focal home decor piece.  The project was shared with me by Greta Leonard, from my team.  I was excited to try it with our Magnolia Lane DSP.  The paper is cut into 2x4 strips and then scored 1/2" from one end.  The opposite end is punched with our Banner Triple Punch

I folded each paper strip end over the wire frame.  I used a cool temp glue gun to adhere each paper strip in place.  This is a close-up to show the layers of colors and textures.  Magnolias are on-trend and are blooming right now in our area.  And I think many people now associate the name "Magnolia" with the famous designer Joanna Gaines and her store Magnolia Market in Waco, Texas.

I am really happy with how it turned out and am excited to feature these next week at a local artisan boutique "Fun in the Sun" by The Holiday House Boutique.  I hope you will come out and enjoy shopping among many local artisans in one location!

Botanical Bliss Part 2

Good Saturday evening stamping friends! I am excited to share these 2 projects as Part 2 of my Botanical Bliss bundle class.  If you missed yesterday's post you can see the first 2 projects here.

My first project can be a gift tag or bookmark in Balmy Blue and Whisper White.  It features the starburst stamp image and Starburst framelit tag die.

There is a coordinating die for cutting out the bottom edge of the Starburst. You can see the white starburst on my tag.  First you cut the tag top on your 2 inch wide Whisper White card stock (it will look just like the Balmy Blue tag in the picture).  Then you lay the edge die along the bottom of the starburst your card stock and run it through the Big Shot.  I've added the edge dies next to the coordinating tag die so you can see how to cut the shape.
In this design I die cut the flower tag in Whisper White.  I then die cut the flower tag in Flirty Flamingo and repeated with Pear Pizazz.  I used the flower edge die cut on each flower in Flirty Flamingo and Pear Pizazz.  Paper snips make it easy to trim the leaves from the Flirty Flamingo flower.  Then I snipped the flower off the Pear Pizazz leaves.

I adhered the Flirty Flamingo flower onto the Whisper White tag flower.  And then I adhered the Pear Pizazz leaves onto the Whisper White tag leaves.  This reinforces the delicate layers.  I made this design in a larger card version and shared it in this post, if you want see more details for the supplies.

Please contact me or your demonstrator with any questions.  If you don't have a demonstrator, then I am happy to help you get started with an order.  My online store is open 24 hours at http://bit.ly/shopwithJaney

Sweet Soiree Card Designs

Hello dear stampers!  I absolutely love our Sweet Soiree Memories and More card pack.  These are designed to make memory keeping in our pocket pages super quick and easy.  They are also super handy for quick and easy card designs.

I used the card pack and designed over 60 cards using coordinating colors of card stock, embossing folders, twine or ribbon, stamps, and inks.

This is my favorite!  I love the colors, layout, and sentiment!
I used sponge daubers to add touches of color to this floral print.
Rich Razzleberry is stunning in this layout.
The Whisper White card front embossing accents the pink card.
I love the white space that allows the floral print to be the focal point.
Here are collages of many more designs.
This palette of Basic Grey, Rich Razzleberry, and Whisper White is stunning.
Flirty Flamingo is my primary color with Old Olive and Whisper White in this collage.
Here are several more fun cards.
Sale-a-bration gifts are free with a $50 purchase.  You can qualify for the free Sweet Soiree Memories and More card pack gift (above) when you order $50 of product.  The supplies for this project are listed at the end of today's post.  This list of products can help you qualify for the free card pack.

Inking Idaho on the Road

This past weekend was our annual Inking Idaho on the Road event in Boise.  It is a super fun event with projects that we make, demonstrations of techniques and ideas, laughter, friendship and impressive displays made from Stampin' Up! products.

I was so excited to make a display with my favorite, the Flourishing Phrases bundle.  I hope you enjoy my display and how I share each project.  If you like this post, then please subscribe to my blog in the right hand column.

This is my display at the event.

This Glassine Gift Bag is embossed and the belly band is bedecked with ribbon, flowers, leaves and sentiment.  I wanted it to look very special to tell the recipient they are very special!

The Curvy Keepsake box is perfectly sized to stamp the large flower.  This is Watermelon Wonder ink stamped on Watermelon Wonder card stock.  Then I stamped our Whisper White craft ink over the same image. I love this effect!
I love the die cut flower flourish but I also really like the negative from the die cut. The cut-out absence seemed fitting in this sympathy card.  I traced the entire image with clear glitter Wink of Stella to make it sparkly and pop.
The flourish stamp makes a soothing background on this wedding card.  I wanted it to be pretty but not pink and girly.  The Soft Saffron and Mint Macaron are a delightful color combination.
The die cuts in this bundle have so much versatility.  The border has a very interesting design.  This is cheerful get well card in Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry, and Blushing Bride.  The clear Wink of Stella made the flowers subtly elegant.

One more packaging idea, this is the Mini Treat Bag thinlit.  The flourish is a sophisticated detail on the bag.
I used our scalloped tag topper punch to create a tab to pull the note card out of the bag.  There was also room for placing 3 Ghiradelli chocolate squares to make this truly a treat bag!

This card front is a sheet of vellum stamped with Dapper Denim and the die cut flourish attached with fine tip glue.

I hope you have enjoyed my projects for this display.  I really enjoyed making them.  Which project would you like to make?

If you want to add this bundle to your collection you can get it here.

Thank you for coming to visit my blog, I appreciate your friendship and comments!
