Poppy Bingo Recap

Hello friends!  I have so much to share with you today.  We had a fabulous Poppy Bingo event, such lovely stampers, laughter, and fun!

The Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper was in every kit.  This card is an alternate design that I shared.

This is the second design that we made and put our Stamparatus to work for the sentiment banner.

Sandra and Bonnie were two of our winners, an early departure meant we missed our other winner Jenn in the picture.  

This is our last card project that we made at Poppy Bingo. We used aquapainters and Blackberry Bliss ink refill to color in the watercolor poppy image from the Peaceful Poppy Elements pack that each person had in her goody bag.

I have had a full weekend of excitement at the Idaho Scrapbook Show and will share all about it with you soon!

Idaho Scrapbook Show Recap

 Hello stamping friends!  I am sorry to have gone missing for a few days.  A few of my family have been recuperating from influenza and my attention was diverted.  I know several of you did attend the Idaho Scrapbook Show and enjoyed the festivities.  This is my recap for those that didn't get to join us!

I had fun meeting so many lovely new friends and connecting with old friends.

Our booth was filled with creative projects.   The cute polka-dot covered cart displayed our 3 big door prizes.

This was our project on Saturday morning.  Everyone loved the Heartflelt Thoughts stamp set with our new "Distinktives" photo realistic patented technology. 

Our door prizes: a Big Shot and 2 baskets of assorted Stampin' Up! products.

 Displays or our 12x12 Designer Series Paper and 6x6 DSP too.  My vintage window frame displays a variety of card design ideas.  Carla made a stunning display of scrapbook pages with our Party Pandas.

 Vicki's scrapbook pages featured our Sweet Soiree suite and several other 12x12 Designer Series Papers.

 Vicki designed a clever card design kit with compartments to keep all your pieces to take with you on the go.  The soda pop book is for coupons and shopping with organization pockets and lists.

 Greta made beautiful cards and a treat box for her display of  our Painted with Love suite.

 Cathy featured her talents of punch art.  She brought several more projects that filled these shelves.  She is a whiz at using punches and framelits to make 3D animals and figures.

 This masculine card display was also made by Cathy.

 My display featured our Stampin' Blends alcohol markers and our Color Me Happy card kit.

 I shared the types of stamps that are offered by Stampin' up!  We have red rubber for cling mount on clear acrylic blocks, red rubber mounted on wood blocks, and transparent photopolymer that clings to clear acrylic blocks.

Friday Stamping Fun with Brusho - Birthday Blooms

Hello stamping friends!  

I am excited to share the outcome of the votes from social media on this design poll that I ran 2  weeks ago. Did you vote?  It was interesting to see that Instagram voters had a strong preference for #2 and that Facebook voters had a strong preference for #1.

#1 had 21 votes - winner!

#2 had 15 votes 

#3 had 6 votes

I decided to go with the winner and improve it a bit.  The Brusho colors are so rich and captivating.  I realized that my card base would color coordinate better with Always Artichoke card stock.  I also opted to use the Scattered Sequins embossing folder (remember to spritz your card stock before using this type of  dynamic textured embossing folder).  The sentiment needed more umph - which was solved by a strip of Burlap Ribbon.

Here is the final version of my Brusho design on our Birthday Blooms stamp.  Isn't the flower gorgeous with the variations of Brusho colors?
